Feed back on music

We asked a few people to listen to the voice over and the music and they came back with:

A teacher said " I liked the voice over it makes the film sound really upsetting and sad and helps tell the story. I liked the transition between the end of the voice over and the song it worked well and you could hardly tell that there was a difference"

A student said " I liked how well the music works with the storyline and slow motion of the film. The transition between both songs is hardly noticable unless you think about it. The song goes well with the movements and the range of different angles and her facial expressions. The tone of the music is good and dramatic and goes in good time with the video. I really like the gunshot at the end, it gives suspence to the film about what has happended drawing them into the film, the title fits in well with the gunshot aswell. Good choice of songs and words in the voice over. It helps tell the story."

Music

To create our music we used Garage band. the picture below is our music open up in Garage Band...

New questionnaire and results

This is our new questionnaire we made because we changed the scence where it was filmed...

These are the results of the questionnaire...

Voice over

These are the lyrics that are used in the voice over in our film...
It's like you're screaming, and no one can hear
You almost feel ashamed
That someone could be that important
That without them, you feel like nothing
No one will ever understand how much it hurts
You feel hopeless; like nothing can save you
And when it's over, and it's gone
You almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back
So that you could have the good

Evaluation 6

Looking back at you preliminary task, what do you fell you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

When I look back at our preliminary task we have now got better at filming the different types of shots and in our film we have managed to get the shots accurate and we took more than one of the to see what one was better to the cut and put into our film. We have also got to grips with the final cut express and how to cut and merge clips together to make transitions between clips better.

I started my Media AS course with no idea of how to use the software or how to work a video recorder. I also had no idea of what all the different shots and camera angles, also didn’t know how to cut clips together in final cut express. After the first few lessons when had the chance to get to grips with the software and how to cut and merge scenes together. I also found the video cameras easy to use after a few times of using them. It was also quite easy to cut a merge clips together; in our preliminary task we got the change to merge and cut clips together of different camera angles. Further down the line of the course we got research in more angles that we could use in our final film opening.

Evaluation 5

How did you attract/ address you audience?

My group and I would attract/ address our audience by making posters that would have a picture of the main character on a black background and maybe a man in a hoody standing behind her we would also have the title of the film ‘Missing’ in bold white writing to make it standout. Another way we would attract/ address the audience is by making a movie trailer of clips of the rest of the film to show what else happens in the film. We have also used a girl that is in the same age range of the target audience so that it would appeal more to them and want to make them watch it.

Evaluation 4
