Bird’s-eye
view
A birds’-eye view shot is were the camera
is looking straight down on to the scene that is being filmed.
This camera angle is similar to bird’s- eye
view but is closer. The high angle shot is used to make a character look
powerless and vulnerable. This angle is normally used in a film to make the
scene more dramatic or if there are two characters are having a convention and
one of the characters are up high e.g. in a tree house.
Eye level
Eye level
An eye level shot is where the camera is
placed at the eye level of the characters in the scene. If they are standing the
cameraman can get the shot easier but if they are sitting down it is harder as
the cameraman has to blend slightly.
Low
angle
A low level shot is where the camera is
place looking up at a character. This shot shows that a character has power
over the characters looking up at them.
Worm’s
eye view
A worm’s eye view is a shot taken from
below. It is the opposite of bird’s-eye view. It is used in filming to make
something look taller, stronger and mighty.
